Delete your account

You can delete your tagg.ie account yourself, in the app. It happens straight away and can’t be undone.

How

1. Open the tagg.ie app and sign in.
2. Go to Account, then Delete account.
3. Read what will happen, tap Delete account, then confirm with “Yes, delete my account”.

We send a confirmation email to your address when it is done.

What is removed straight away

• Your name, mobile number and email address.
• Your taggs (items and their details), and your anonymous email addresses stop forwarding. Messages finders sent to them are deleted.
• Your print history, your sign-in sessions and your devices’ push notification registrations.

What is kept

• Your label IDs are retired for good: they are never given to anyone else, and anyone who scans one is told it is no longer in use. An ID carries no personal information.
• Records of when a label was scanned stay without the finder’s IP address, device details or precise location, and are deleted six months after the account is deleted.
• A log entry that an account was deleted (an internal ID and a count, never your email address).

Signing up again

You can use the same email address to start a new, empty account.
